Art and lunch - a perfect combination

From the Diary of a High-Class Landlady

All of our guests left very early yesterday morning and so we treated ourselves.

The wise owl outside the Christchurch Art Gallery

It was a lovely sunny day, 30 degrees.

We revisited the Christchurch Art Gallery, in particular for a guided tour of the current Exhibition of Gordon Walters’ modernist abstract paintings. There is always something new and exciting to see at our wonderful Art Gallery and this is no exception, truly special.

A double treat in fact, as we lunched at Universo, the restaurant on the ground floor. If you have read my blog posts last month you will know that Universo is on our list of recommended places for lunch in the city.

A Christchuch Tram heading towards the Botanical Gardens

Such a lovely day and a great setting, watching the trams trundle past the Arts Centre and along Worcester Boulevard towards the Botanical Gardens.

Crab linguine and Tart Tartin, heaven.
